How to export a PowerPoint as a GIF

Office 365 has several new export options. I use the export to video to build the movies you see here. Another export option is to save the file as an animated GIF image. Here is quick little tutorial on how to use the export as a GIF function. You can also use the same steps to create a video by choosing "Create Video" instead.

From the home screen click on the "File" button

Next click on "Export"

 Choose "Create an Animated GIF"

Chose the size of file you want to create

The better the resolution the longer it will take PowerPoint to render the file into an image. The example I am including is "Medium". I think it works fine.

Save the file to the location of your choice.

Your final project will look like this
